#28 Cardiology illustrations and more: The best medical illustrations

Hi there! It is friday again. Before we talking about the expectations for the weekend, I want to show the new illustrations we added on Mind the Graph this week. We improved our library of medical illustrations, with a lot of cardiology illustrations. We already have a huge library with more than eight thousands of scientific illustrations. These are the newest, but you can check them all on our platform.

New illustrations on Cardiology

Infection and injuries

These illustrations with bacterias and viruses in the circulatory system are useful to explain sepsis:

Artery structure and Atherosclerosis

Atherosclerosis is a disease in which the inside of an artery narrows due to the build up of plaque. When severe, it can result in coronary artery disease, stroke, peripheral artery disease, or kidney problems, depending on which arteries are affected.

We added illustrations of healthy arteries, the initial stages of atherosclerosis and the severe stage, so you can combine them to show the disease progression.

Fatty acid molecules

Also, now you can find illustrations of fatty acid molecules, to explain the difference between satured and unsatured fatty acid and the acumulation of plaque in the arteries.

Can I use these illustrations on my publications?

YES! We created Mind the Graph to empower scientists and improve communication in science. You can use your creations in your papers, classes, books, social media and anything you want. If you are a free user, you must keep the watermark and cite mind the graph in your publication. Now, if you are a subscriber you don’t need to cite us (But would be great if you do it)!  You can stay as a free user as long as you want.

However if you want to have access to all features you can upgrade to an unlimited account.
