A benchtop laboratory apparatus for a transesterification reaction is shown, with a three-neck round-bottom flask (RBF) partially immersed in a heated water bath on a magnetic stirrer/hot plate. A glass thermometer or temperature probe enters one neck, another neck is stoppered, and the assembly is secured to a ring stand.
