A schematic shows a laboratory setup designed for in vitro NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) studies of mouse (Mus musculus) cell or tissue cultures in a Petri dish. The dish is positioned near an RF (radiofrequency) coil, while a U-shaped permanent magnet delivers a static magnetic field between labeled north and south poles.
