A simplified schematic depicts a cruciform heterotrimeric glycoprotein with three short arms and one long arm, representing a laminin isoform also termed laminin‑332 (LM‑332). In biological hierarchy, it is a protein component of the extracellular matrix (ECM) within the basement membrane (BM) of epithelial tissues. In cell biology and biochemistry, this molecule mediates cell adhesion and basement membrane stability.
