This hierarchical view depicts cells (sporozoites) within sporocysts inside the oocyst. In parasitology and veterinary pathology, this reproductive stage originates in the intestinal epithelium of vertebrate hosts and is shed in feces, enabling transmission and fecal diagnosis of coccidiosis by light microscopy (LM).
