A circular angiographic view of the macula shows a central dark foveal avascular zone (FAZ) encircled by the retinal vascular network. In ophthalmic anatomy and pathology, this retinal microvasculature within the neurosensory tissue of the eye is assessed to investigate Alzheimer disease (AD)–related neurovascular change.
