We can see all over social media denial and skeptic people. However, every day scientists come up with new data raising awareness about the consequences of our habits. But, humans are really causing global warming? According to science, yes. Now, three studies published on Nature this month show that\u00a0scientific consensus is likely to have passed 99%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One argument\u00a0used by climate change deniers\u00a0is the idea that the Earth already experienced\u00a0similar dramatic peaks and troughs in the past. Two examples are\u00a0the Little Ice Age and the Medieval Climate Anomaly. So, the shifts\u00a0happen due a natural cycle. However, these new studies indicate that none of these shifts took place in all planet at the same period. Besides that, the current climate change process is faster than any other in the past.<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Temperature anomalies arranged by country from 1900 - 2016\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/K4Ra2HR27pQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The researchers used\u00a0reconstructions based on 700 proxy records of temperature change, such as trees, ice and sediment, from all continents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mark Maslin, professor of climatology at University College London, was interviewed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/science\/2019\/jul\/24\/scientific-consensus-on-humans-causing-global-warming-passes-99?CMP=twt_a-environment_b-gdneco\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">by The Guardian<\/a>. He said that\u00a0<em>\u201cthis paper should finally stop climate change deniers claiming that the recent observed coherent global warming is part of a natural climate cycle.<\/em> This paper shows the truly stark difference between regional and localised changes in climate of the past and the truly global effect of anthropogenic greenhouse emissions\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>What the new papers about Climate Change say<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41586-019-1401-2.epdf?referrer_access_token=eSxmUpIl3PCVr9z9B-uQONRgN0jAjWel9jnR3ZoTv0OFAuvUf3smNPgQh_x6w3tkX-JXRoLf0zBLgBVwxe-KoifRXttIDrQhrrp5_VtNZW2aWM2B673VXec5tmT2AV5TfK-obK6R4EwVqorcNs0p3XR7sKS4MgC2Am9TtwfB8mtEFAlGvQAa-_oYCqo5YZTToEiJ_j61ob5j4HErGyOxjp3TMClkhY2m8CgwnNLW_rl7ctGLlwyONosojhdTgsbGCetHala0Dvo4q1sGW3ZnY39t8ymDta83jcdsfVrY8KArjDUwZMxB5sEIc_Xud66eV_ok9lRGm6bTFM6plSLkDj3NSoXpOZdw8H_2uEOIov8%3D&amp;tracking_referrer=www.mindthegraph.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No evidence for globally coherent warm and cold periods over the preindustrial Common Era<\/a>\u00a0indicates that\u00a0in the past, temperature change didn&#8217;t happen in more than half the globe at any one time.<\/h3>\n<p>They studied the Little Ice Age,\u00a0the coldest epoch of the last millennium. The results indicate that\u00a0the coldest temperatures occurred during different centuries around the world. It took place during the\u00a015th century in the central and eastern Pacific Ocean, during the 17th century in northwestern Europe and southeastern North America. However, the\u00a0remaining regions\u00a0experienced\u00a0the coldest temperatures only during the mid\u00a019th century.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Which means, the spatial coherence does exist over the preindustrial Common Era.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is consistent with the spatial coherence of stochastic climatic variability. <em>&#8220;This lack of spatiotemporal coherence indicates that preindustrial forcing was not sufficient to produce globally extreme temperatures at multidecadal and centennial timescales. By contrast, we find that the warmest period of the past two millennia occurred during the 2oth century for more than 98% of the globe. This provides strong evidence that anthropogenic global warming is not only unparalleled in terms of absolute temperatures, but also unprecedented in spatial consistency within the context of the past 2,000 years.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41561-019-0402-y.epdf?referrer_access_token=NsmsvMEmWm6SoIVKCTcEt9RgN0jAjWel9jnR3ZoTv0MyBnoX34ZRaon0wmYjK2GXR3LOpEGlJAGIl2yZr9fKQYQkJni28mFZ38_k7tJ5vkJDciMdvmfN_MId2508iWfSpShftbeoK2cY-NpTXIO-SkgjBJJBVOz_OlG4EcQUBuq1YuGeTaVZ9zND91dE_ap7Om7rfyUcIwvYWGEqN12MEN2JrF6V_Tgkq14lTQX_Z0ft7W5TbcMDh8tS8823jWdGooSvS90xoQ30TVgF2fLu0sLNUZ7M5IdM_98hjl53eUZX85rxKMQv1pmpBc7Gl4RCqw_rtGdPCwNq9Mi_ECopCi6G4JUrqOk_73ejPNW6IGE%3D&amp;tracking_referrer=www.mindthegraph.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Last phase of the Little Ice Age forced by volcanic eruptions<\/a>\u00a0explain the strong global fluctuations in the first half of the 18th Century.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The researchers explain how the world started to move from a volcanically cooled era to a climate warmed by human emissions\u00a0 during\u00a0the 18th Century. <em>&#8220;During the first half of the nineteenth century, several large tropical volcanic eruptions occurred within less than three decades.<\/em> [&#8230;] Only after the 1850s did the transition into the period of anthropogenic warming start.
