SkyPixel is the most important of aerial photography contest in the world, receiving over 44,000 entries from people in 141 countries, in landscape, portrait and story categories.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAerial photography inspires us to explore the unknown world and create unique works of art from a brand new perspective. Founded three years ago, SkyPixel is now one of the premier aerial photography communities in the world with over six million registered professionals and enthusiasts.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The Grand Prize was given to Florian Ledoux, a photographer from France. He won the prize with the photo \u201cAbove the polar bear\u201d. He\u00a0wrote: Dear future generation, I hope we will still be able to see the Arctic wildlife as we do now. It is threatened as the environment is changing. I was able to witness many scenes of wildlife and I can guarantee you this is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Incredible and unique shot above a polar bear in Nunavut, Baffin area during wildlife reportage in Nunavut and Greenland.<\/span><\/p>\n
