This week, Overleaf published a guest post from Mind the Graph. Our CEO Fabricio Pamplona wrote about the integration of these two platforms!<\/p>\n

You know how long it takes to finish writing a paper, right? Well, what if you could have a platform in which all authors could write together and configure the text the way they want? That is what Overleaf does. Overleaf is a collaborative writing and publishing system that makes the whole process of producing academic papers much quicker.<\/p>\n

In addition,\u00a0Overleaf is partner with Oxford University Press<\/a>, F1000 Research<\/a> and\u00a0IEEE’s free Collabratec<\/a>. All that to speed up the process of publishing scientific papers.<\/p>\n

The idea behind Overleaf complements perfectly Mind the Graph’s goal to untangle science through visual and creative links. Each platform is focus on distinc parts of scientific publishings and, when integrated, improves communication in science. For this reason, we are now working together and helping our users to match both platforms.<\/p>\n

Start with Mind the Graph<\/h2>\n

First things first: enter our website<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Step 1.<\/strong> Go to our website and click on start for free. Next, you will be able to sign up!<\/p>\n

Step 2.<\/strong> Click on \u2018Create new file\u2019. You may choose between a template or a blank workspace. If you choose to start blank, three size options will be available.<\/p>\n

Step 3.<\/strong> On your left, you will find a tool bar. Click on \u2018Icons\u2019 and search for the illustrations you want by using tags at the search box. Our platform will help you with the search by indicating related tags under the search box. If you want to start over a new search, clean up your previous tags by clickng on the \u2018X\u2019 button.<\/p>\n

Step 4.<\/strong> You can also find text, shapes, graphs and background options in the tool bar on your left. In addition, you can upload images to your workspace by clicking on \u2018Uploads\u2019.<\/p>\n

Step 5.<\/strong> When you are finished, click on \u2018Download\u2019 and choose the way to save your work!<\/p>\n

Mind the Graph has an auto-saving system to help you not losing your work. However, you may save your project as you please by clicking on the \u2018Save\u2019 button.<\/p>\n

Finish with Overleaf integration<\/h2>\n

Every artwork you create at Mind the Graph can be imported to Overleaf. Follow these steps:<\/p>\n

Step 1.<\/strong> Click on download and choose the format you want your work.<\/p>\n

Step 2.<\/strong> You will see a box with sharing options and a link. Open that link in a new tab.<\/p>\n

\"overleaf\"<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Step 3.<\/strong> Click with the right button over the image and select the option \u2018Copy Image Address\u2019.<\/p>\n

\"overleaf\"<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Step 4.<\/strong> Go to Overleaf and sign up<\/a>! Then, choose a new project.<\/p>\n

Step 5.<\/strong> On your left side, click on \u2018Add files\u2019 and select the option \u2018URL\u2019.<\/p>\n

Step 6.<\/strong> Paste the URL from Mind the Graph and you are ready to use your creation<\/a> at Overleaf!<\/p>\n
