Of all the known species in the world, 10% are in the Amazon rainforest. But the most species aren&#8217;t described yet. So, deforestation and wildfires are a huge risk for all life on Earth. We need to stop or at least decrease the current rate of deforestation. Otherwise, WWF estimates that 27% of the Amazon biome will be without trees by 2030.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">One in 10 known species on Earth<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With the data the we already have is possible to see how the rainforest is important to maintain life on Earth. However, we probably know just a few part of the entire number of species. The majority of invertebrates species such as arthropods are still unknown to us. As the vertebrate species are easier to identify and classify. But there\u00a0are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/publication\/277405288_Insetos_e_outros_artropodes_terrestres\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scientific studies<\/a> the show that for every species of mammals there is three hundreds of arthropods species in rainforests.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/templates\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10321\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/chart_amazon_rainforest.png\" alt=\"chart_amazon_rainforest\" width=\"850\" height=\"588\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/chart_amazon_rainforest.png 6240w, https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/chart_amazon_rainforest-300x208.png 300w, https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/chart_amazon_rainforest-768x532.png 768w, https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/chart_amazon_rainforest-1024x709.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Birds<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>According to WWF, the Amazon rainforest is the home\u00a0of more than a thousand different species of birds like hummingbirds, channel-billed toucans, hoatzins and macaws, the Amazon is one of the most diverse areas for birds in the world.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldwildlife.org\/species\/macaw\">Macaws<\/a>, an icon of the Amazon, are highly intelligent and social, living in flocks of 10 to 30 birds. They mate for life and can live up to 60 years. You will\u00a0walk across very different species.
