And who knows, what we will discover tomorrow?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-1 wp-block-buttons\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/science_figures\">Create Effective Science Figures in Minutes<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2>Solar system size<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<b>Solar System<\/b>&nbsp;is about 36 billion times larger than Earth (3.6 X 10^10).&nbsp;Distances in space are so vast, regular meters and kilometers don\u2019t cut it. Astronomers use a much larger measurement, called the astronomical unit. This is the average distance from the Earth to the Sun, or approximately 150 million kilometers. Mercury is only 0.39 astronomical units from the Sun, while Jupiter orbits at a distance of 5.5 astronomical units. And Pluto is way out there at 39.2 astronomical units. Carbon dioxide is an important gas of the greenhouse effect. So, we also feel the greenhouse effect the keep us warm during the night. However, with the air pollution and the increase of carbon dioxide, the temperature&nbsp;can become too hot, contributing to the global warm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-2 wp-block-buttons\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/science_figures\">Ready to get started at Mind the Graph?<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>And Pluto?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pluto is a&nbsp;dwarf planet&nbsp;in the&nbsp;Kuiper belt, a ring of&nbsp;bodies beyond Neptune. It was the first Kuiper belt object to be discovered and is the largest known&nbsp;plutoid&nbsp;(or&nbsp;<i>ice dwarf<\/i>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kuiper belt <sup>1<\/sup>  is a&nbsp;circumstellar disc&nbsp;in the outer&nbsp;Solar System, extending from the&nbsp;orbit&nbsp;of&nbsp;Neptune.&nbsp;&nbsp;It is similar to the an asteroid belt, but is far larger.&nbsp;&nbsp;Like the asteroid belt, it consists mainly of&nbsp;small bodies&nbsp;or remnants from when the&nbsp;Solar System formed. While many asteroids are composed primarily of&nbsp;rock&nbsp;and metal, most Kuiper belt objects are composed largely of frozen&nbsp;volatiles (termed &#8220;ices&#8221;), such as&nbsp;methane,&nbsp;ammonia&nbsp;and&nbsp;water. The Kuiper belt is home to three officially recognized&nbsp;dwarf planets:&nbsp;Pluto,&nbsp;Haumea and&nbsp;Makemake.
