Vi s\u00e5g f\u00f6r f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen ett fotografi av ett svart h\u00e5l. Forskarna tillk\u00e4nnagav nyheten under en livestreaming. Event Horizon Telescope (EHT-projektet), Europeiska sydobservatoriet och National Science Foundation (NSF) organiserade evenemanget.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Forskarna kopplade ihop radioteleskop runt om i v\u00e4rlden. Algoritmen som skapades av Dr. Katie Bouman och andra forskare sammanf\u00f6rde data som samlats in fr\u00e5n radioteleskop spridda \u00f6ver hela v\u00e4rlden, inom ramen f\u00f6r ett internationellt samarbete som kallas Event Horizon Telescope.  Projektet studerade tv\u00e5 supermassiva svarta h\u00e5l, Sagittarius A (Via Lactea) och centrum av galaxen M87. Tidskriften Astrophysical Journal Letters publicerade bilden i en specialutg\u00e5va. Den bild som visas idag \u00e4r en kombination av bilder som tagits fram med flera olika metoder. Ingen algoritm eller person skapade den h\u00e4r bilden, utan det kr\u00e4vdes en fantastisk talang hos ett team av forskare fr\u00e5n hela v\u00e4rlden och \u00e5r av h\u00e5rt arbete f\u00f6r att utveckla det instrument, den databehandling, de bildmetoder och de analystekniker som var n\u00f6dv\u00e4ndiga f\u00f6r att klara av denna till synes om\u00f6jliga bedrift. Vad \u00e4r ett svart h\u00e5l?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Enligt EHT-projektet \u00e4r svarta h\u00e5l extraordin\u00e4ra kosmiska objekt med enorma massor men extremt kompakta storlekar. N\u00e4rvaron av dessa objekt p\u00e5verkar deras omgivning p\u00e5 extrema s\u00e4tt, f\u00f6rvr\u00e4nger rumtiden och \u00f6verhettar allt omgivande material.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\"Om ett svart h\u00e5l \u00e4r neds\u00e4nkt i en ljus region, som en skiva av gl\u00f6dande gas, f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntar vi oss att det skapar en m\u00f6rk region som liknar en skugga - n\u00e5got som f\u00f6rutses av Einsteins allm\u00e4nna relativitetsteori och som vi aldrig har sett tidigare,<\/em>&nbsp;f\u00f6rklarade ordf\u00f6rande f\u00f6r EHT:s vetenskapliga r\u00e5d&nbsp;<b>Heino Falcke<\/b>&nbsp;vid Radboud University, Nederl\u00e4nderna.&nbsp;<em>\"Denna skugga, som orsakas av gravitationsb\u00f6jningen och inf\u00e5ngandet av ljus vid h\u00e4ndelsehorisonten, avsl\u00f6jar mycket om dessa fascinerande objekts natur och gjorde det m\u00f6jligt f\u00f6r oss att m\u00e4ta den enorma massan hos M87:s svarta h\u00e5l.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Flera kalibrerings- och avbildningsmetoder har avsl\u00f6jat en ringliknande struktur med en m\u00f6rk central region - det svarta h\u00e5lets skugga - som kvarstod under flera oberoende EHT-observationer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Det svarta h\u00e5let \u00e4r 40 miljarder kilometer i diameter. Det \u00e4r 3 miljoner g\u00e5nger st\u00f6rre \u00e4n v\u00e5r planet - och beskrivs av forskarna som ett \"monster\". Det har en massa som \u00e4r 6,5 miljarder g\u00e5nger st\u00f6rre \u00e4n solens. Och vi uppskattar att det \u00e4r ett av de st\u00f6rsta som n\u00e5gonsin existerat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vissa svarta h\u00e5l var inaktiva, men inte detta. Och det inneb\u00e4r att det omvandlar gas och materia i n\u00e4rheten till energi med 100 g\u00e5nger h\u00f6gre effektivitet \u00e4n den k\u00e4rnfusion som driver stj\u00e4rnorna.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ett svart h\u00e5l har olika delar och strukturer.
