Nyhetskanaler publicerar st\u00e4ndigt vad som \u00e4r aktuellt inom den vetenskapliga v\u00e4rlden och lyfter fram n\u00e5gra av de mest relevanta uppt\u00e4ckterna f\u00f6r lekm\u00e4n.<\/p>\n<p>Men inte s\u00e4llan f\u00e5r vi h\u00f6ra mots\u00e4gelsefulla nyheter som s\u00e4tter ett fr\u00e5getecken f\u00f6r vetenskapens sanningshalt. Vissa resultat \u00e4r dessutom s\u00e5 sv\u00e5ra att tro p\u00e5 att vi b\u00f6rjar associera vetenskaplig information med popul\u00e4ra rykten.<\/p>\n<p>I sitt program den h\u00e4r veckan pekade John Oliver p\u00e5 konsekvenserna av osann eller ofullst\u00e4ndig vetenskaplig information och hur medierna har en viktig roll i detta:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Vetenskapliga studier: Sista veckan ikv\u00e4ll med John Oliver (HBO)\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0Rnq1NpHdmw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>John Olivers tal var v\u00e4l anpassat till den allm\u00e4nna meningen. Nuf\u00f6rtiden tvivlar de flesta p\u00e5 vilken information de kan lita p\u00e5 och hur p\u00e5litlig vetenskapen egentligen \u00e4r. \u00c4ven om kritiken fr\u00e4mst riktades mot media och m\u00e4nniskor som livn\u00e4r sig p\u00e5 \"vetenskapligt skvaller\", \u00e4r vetenskaplig kommunikation en verklig fr\u00e5ga.<\/p>\n<p>Visst kan media spela en viktig roll n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller att sprida vetenskaplig information. Men de \u00e4r inte de yrkesgrupper som \u00e4r b\u00e4st l\u00e4mpade att g\u00f6ra det. Vilka \u00e4r d\u00e5 b\u00e4st f\u00f6rberedda f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rmedla vetenskaplig information? Jo, forskare!<\/p>\n<p>Problemet \u00e4r att det vetenskapliga samfundet \u00e4r mycket slutet inom sin egen publik - vilket kan l\u00e5ta lite konstigt om vi tar h\u00e4nsyn till att det fr\u00e4msta m\u00e5let med vetenskap \u00e4r att ha en positiv inverkan p\u00e5 m\u00e4nskligheten. Forskare har den viktigaste rollen n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller att kommunicera vetenskaplig information. Eftersom sociala medier st\u00e5r f\u00f6r en stor del av informationsutbytet skulle forskare kunna anv\u00e4nda dessa snabba och effektiva verktyg f\u00f6r att sprida sanningsenlig information om vetenskapligt arbete.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e5nga forskare har redan hittat sina s\u00e4tt att g\u00f6ra det.
