Klicka p\u00e5 bilden f\u00f6r att komma till galleriet.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Botanikens nya skatt: de nya uppt\u00e4ckterna&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Studiegrupper vid Exeter och <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studocu.com\/en-gb\/institution\/university-of-oxford\/9811\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oxford<\/a> Universiteten och Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, klassificerade och beskrev 28 nya Jacquemontia-arter som uppt\u00e4ckts i Bolivia och Peru.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Den st\u00f6rsta artrikedomen finns i \u00f6stra Bolivia, trots att alla landets endemiska arter \u00e4r andinska.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I Peru \u00e4r det de norra torrmarkerna n\u00e4ra gr\u00e4nsen till Ecuador som har den st\u00f6rsta m\u00e5ngfalden och endemismen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vetenskapen h\u00e4vdar att det finns ett stort antal v\u00e4xter som inte har kategoriserats och identifierats, fr\u00e4mst i tropiska omr\u00e5den.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Studieteamet har identifierat fem nya Jacquemontia-arter i Bolivia med hj\u00e4lp av lokala experter. F\u00f6rutom att identifiera v\u00e4xter unders\u00f6ker de ekosystemen d\u00e4r de lever och deras roll i st\u00f6rre ekosystem.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eftersom Jacquemontia och andra v\u00e4xter p\u00e5 klipph\u00e4llar har \u00f6verlevt tuffa f\u00f6rh\u00e5llanden i tusentals \u00e5r hoppas forskarna kunna l\u00e4ra sig av dessa v\u00e4xter hur de anpassar sig till de nya klimatf\u00f6r\u00e4ndringarna och andra milj\u00f6f\u00f6rh\u00e5llanden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Att identifiera v\u00e4xtarter \u00e4r ett avg\u00f6rande steg f\u00f6r att skydda den snabbt minskande biologiska m\u00e5ngfalden i Sydamerika och resten av v\u00e4rlden.
