Det var faktiskt inte vilket vatten som helst, det var molekyl\u00e4rt vatten - den minsta enheten av det. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"254\" height=\"156\" src=\"https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/water-molecules.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11876\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Studien bekr\u00e4ftar att man har uppt\u00e4ckt vatten i vissa kratrar p\u00e5 m\u00e5nen med hj\u00e4lp av en infrar\u00f6d kamera med namnet FORCAST som kopplades till teleskopet SOFIA den 31 augusti 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kameran detekterade ett starkt 6 \u00b5m emissionsband, som j\u00e4mf\u00f6rdes med andra studier och med litteraturv\u00e4rden, vilket bekr\u00e4ftade att uppgifterna var giltiga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En enkel f\u00f6rklaring till infrar\u00f6d analys \u00e4r att den omfattar ett brett spektrum av det elektromagnetiska spektrumet, fr\u00e5n 14000 till 10 cm-1, vilket i grunden \u00e4r ett m\u00e5tt p\u00e5 energi och hur den interagerar med materia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Denna interaktion kan ske genom <strong>absorberande, emitterande eller reflekterande<\/strong> n\u00e5gon niv\u00e5 av energi. Baserat p\u00e5 dessa j\u00e4mf\u00f6relser bekr\u00e4ftade de att bandet kommer fr\u00e5n molekyl\u00e4rt vatten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Detta band var dock inte det enda som uppt\u00e4cktes p\u00e5 m\u00e5nens yta. Ytterligare ett absorptionsband p\u00e5 3 \u00b5m uppt\u00e4cktes, och det kan betyda mer vatten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det andra bandet fanns n\u00e4ra m\u00e5nens ekvatorregion, p\u00e5 en annan plats \u00e4n det f\u00f6rsta bandet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det verkar allts\u00e5 som om platsen \u00e4ndras en hel del i de data som samlats in av forskare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Till skillnad fr\u00e5n 6 \u00b5m, som \u00e4r ett mycket karakteristiskt band f\u00f6r vattenmolekylen, representerar detta 3 \u00b5m-band en molekyl som kan omvandla den till vatten, hydroxyl (O-H). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det betyder att vattnet ocks\u00e5 kan bildas genom kemiska omvandlingsreaktioner fr\u00e5n hydroxyl till vatten p\u00e5 m\u00e5nytan.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"274\" height=\"102\" src=\"https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/hydrojen-and-oxygen-molecule.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11875\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Du kanske undrar: \"Hur \u00e4r det m\u00f6jligt att det finns vatten p\u00e5 m\u00e5nens yta?\" Eller till och med \"Varifr\u00e5n kom vattnet?\" Tja, i artikeln har de en teori.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> \"Det finns flera mekanismer f\u00f6r ursprunget till vatten i m\u00e5njord som \u00e4r relevanta f\u00f6r v\u00e5ra data\", st\u00e5r det i artikeln, och \u00e4ven: \"Vatten som finns i m\u00e5nens exosf\u00e4r kan kemisorberas p\u00e5 kornytor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vatten kan tillf\u00f6ras av mikrometeoriter som inneh\u00e5ller flyktiga \u00e4mnen, och en del av detta vatten kan beh\u00e5llas i de glas som bildas av dessa nedslag eller tillf\u00f6ras exosf\u00e4ren och bli tillg\u00e4ngligt f\u00f6r kemisorption\" (HONNIBALL et al., 2020).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Med andra ord kan vattnet komma fr\u00e5n mikrometeoriter, och n\u00e4r de krossas p\u00e5 m\u00e5nytan fastnar molekylerna i n\u00e5got som forskarna kallar glas och kornytor.&nbsp;  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Resultaten i den publicerade artikeln visar p\u00e5 ett konsekvent s\u00e4tt att det finns en befintlig mekanism som producerar vatten p\u00e5 m\u00e5nytan genom nedslag. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Men tyv\u00e4rr \u00e4r utvecklingen av denna process mycket liten\/sm\u00e5\/sm\u00e5 och kanske kommer vi aldrig att f\u00e5 se en simt\u00e4vling p\u00e5 m\u00e5nen.
