Men f\u00f6r att uppr\u00e4tth\u00e5lla allt detta liv finns det en underjordisk v\u00e4v som vi inte ser och som m\u00e5nga m\u00e4nniskor inte k\u00e4nner till. Ja, jag talar om mykorrhizasvampar. \u00c4ven f\u00f6r forskare \u00e4r dessa aspekter av livet fortfarande mestadels ok\u00e4nda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under 2019 kartlade forskare f\u00f6r f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen den\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1038\/s41586-019-1128-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">global f\u00f6rdelning av tre st\u00f6rre grupper<\/a>\u00a0av dessa mikrober. F\u00f6rfattarna <em>\"generera en rumsligt explicit global karta \u00f6ver skogarnas symbiotiska status med hj\u00e4lp av en databas med \u00f6ver 1,1 miljoner skogsinventeringsytor som tillsammans inneh\u00e5ller \u00f6ver 28 000 tr\u00e4darter\".<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De tv\u00e5 typerna skiljer sig \u00e5t genom att hyferna hos ektomykorrhizasvampar inte tr\u00e4nger in i enskilda celler i roten, medan hyferna hos endomykorrhizasvampar tr\u00e4nger in i cellv\u00e4ggen och invaginerar cellmembranet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Endomykorrhiza dominerar i s\u00e4songsm\u00e4ssigt varma regnskogar. Symbiosen mellan v\u00e4xter och mikroorganismer \u00e4r ocks\u00e5 mycket viktig f\u00f6r v\u00e4xter i s\u00e4songsm\u00e4ssigt kalla och torra klimat.  Det \u00e4r den dominerande formen av symbios p\u00e5 h\u00f6ga latituder och h\u00f6jder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10342\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/ectomycorrhizae.png\" alt=\"ektomykorrhiza\" width=\"760\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/ectomycorrhizae.png 760w, https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/ectomycorrhizae-300x158.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Den gigantiska\u00a0<em>Armillaria solidipes<\/em>\u00a0(honungssvamp) anses vara den st\u00f6rsta organismen p\u00e5 jorden och breder ut sig \u00f6ver mer \u00e4n 2 000 tunnland underjordisk mark i \u00f6stra Oregon; den uppskattas vara minst 2 400 \u00e5r gammal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/usercontent1.hubstatic.com\/14253532_f520.jpg\" alt=\"Bildresultat f\u00f6r Armillaria solidipes st\u00f6rsta\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00a0F\u00e5 inte fel id\u00e9er. Svamparna \u00e4r inte passiva tillbeh\u00f6r till v\u00e4xterna. De \u00e4r kraftfulla och dynamiska.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De kan h\u00e4mta de n\u00e4rings\u00e4mnen som v\u00e4xterna beh\u00f6ver fr\u00e5n jorden. Det g\u00e4ller framf\u00f6r allt fosfor, men \u00e4ven kv\u00e4ve. Dessutom finns det bevis f\u00f6r att mikrober hj\u00e4lper v\u00e4xter att f\u00e5 tillg\u00e5ng till vatten fr\u00e5n jorden. S\u00e5 med tanke p\u00e5 deras enorma betydelse f\u00f6r livsuppeh\u00e5llandet m\u00e5ste vi veta mer om dem \u00e4n vad vi vet just nu. Men mikrober \u00e4r naturligtvis mikroskopiska och lever under jorden, medan det finns miljontals f\u00e4rgglada och livfulla v\u00e4xter och djur att se.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Det finns inte heller n\u00e5got l\u00e4tt \u00e4mne att studera: vissa arter v\u00e4xer inte i labbet. Dessutom g\u00e5r n\u00e4tverket l\u00e4tt s\u00f6nder n\u00e4r vi f\u00f6rs\u00f6ker extrahera det fr\u00e5n jorden. Vissa av dem har inga \"celler\", utan deras cellk\u00e4rnor med DNA delas mellan celler, vilket skapar n\u00e4tverk som kan vara kilometerl\u00e5nga. Du kan h\u00e5lla med mig om att det finns m\u00e5nga urs\u00e4kter till v\u00e5r brist p\u00e5 kunskap om mykorrhizasvampar.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Men omkring 80% av dagens landv\u00e4xter bildar partnerskap med svampar, och ytterligare andra v\u00e4xter bildar partnerskap med bakterier.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Och det var ingen som sa att det skulle vara l\u00e4tt att bli forskare.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cell.com\/current-biology\/fulltext\/S0960-9822(19)30490-7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ny artikel publicerad i juni<\/a> kastar nytt ljus \u00f6ver fr\u00e5gan. Matthew Whiteside och hans kollegor g\u00f6r det m\u00f6jligt att visualisera det osynliga. De\u00a0<em>utvecklat en kvantpunktsteknik f\u00f6r sp\u00e5rning av n\u00e4rings\u00e4mnen som gjorde det m\u00f6jligt f\u00f6r oss att sp\u00e5ra handeln med fluorescensm\u00e4rkt fosfor i v\u00e4rldens kanske mest utbredda handelspartnerskap: mutualismen mellan arbuskul\u00e4ra mykorrhizasvampar och landv\u00e4xter.\u00a0<\/em><em>Genom att m\u00e4rka fosfor med fluorescerande nanopartiklar i olika f\u00e4rger kan vi f\u00f6lja hur resurserna r\u00f6r sig fr\u00e5n sina ursprungspunkter, \u00f6ver en svamp och in i v\u00e4rdroten.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Svampen mobiliserar och samlar in fosfor fr\u00e5n jorden och byter denna r\u00e5vara mot kol med sina v\u00e4rdv\u00e4xter i ett marknadsliknande utbyte. F\u00f6rfattarna ville se hur svamparna reagerar p\u00e5 olika niv\u00e5er av resursoj\u00e4mlikhet. Den h\u00e4r studien visar att svampar inte bara \u00e4r passiva n\u00e4ringshandlare, utan \u00e4ven informationsbehandlare.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Quanta Magazine publicerade en fullst\u00e4ndig och intressant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quantamagazine.org\/soils-microbial-market-shows-the-ruthless-side-of-forests-20190827\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">artikel<\/a>\u00a0om den.
