Najpomembnej\u0161i med njimi je seveda amazonski de\u017eevni gozd. Gozd pokriva velik del dr\u017eave. Poleg tega je amazonski de\u017eevni gozd idealen \u017eivljenjski prostor za pribli\u017eno tretjino vseh \u017eivalskih vrst na svetu. Do zdaj je bilo ugotovljenih pribli\u017eno 56 000 vrst rastlin (opisanih), 1 700 vrst ptic, 695 vrst dvo\u017eivk, 578 vrst sesalcev in 651 vrst plazilcev.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De\u017eevni gozdovi pokrivajo skoraj 60% celotne povr\u0161ine Brazilije, 477 698 000 hektarov. To ustreza 1 844 394 kvadratnim miljam ali nekaj manj kot 3 milijonom kvadratnih kilometrov. To pomeni, da v Braziliji raste tretjina svetovnih de\u017eevnih gozdov, zato je to ena najbolj zanimivih in najlep\u0161ih de\u017eel na svetu. Gosti de\u017eevni gozdovi v Braziliji porabijo ogromno ogljikovega dioksida in v zameno spro\u0161\u010dajo kisik. Ko jih uni\u010dimo, pa drevesa spro\u0161\u010dajo ogljik v obliki toplogrednih plinov. To ima velike posledice za brazilsko biotsko raznovrstnost, Zemljo in njeno ozra\u010dje.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Amazonski gozd pa ni edini pomemben ekosistem v Braziliji. V dr\u017eavi je ve\u010d ekosistemov z ve\u010d tiso\u010d endemi\u010dnimi vrstami. Da bi to pokazali svetu, je IBGE (Brazilski in\u0161titut za geografijo in statistiko) pripravil osupljive infografike.
