Tartigrade so \u017ee znane kot najbolj odporne \u017eivali na Zemlji. To oznako so dobili zaradi odpornosti na sevanje, visoke pritiske in ekstremne temperature. Zato ne presene\u010da, da je ta mala \u017eival spro\u017eila vrsto novih vpra\u0161anj o tem, kako je lahko pri\u0161lo do evolucije.<\/p>\n

Ta teden, nova raziskava, objavljena v reviji Nature<\/a>, je razkril veliko ve\u010d o velesilah tartigrad.<\/p>\n

Takekazu Kunieda je z ekipo znanstvenikov po sekvenciranju genoma tartigrad identificiral beljakovino, ki \u0161\u010diti DNK, ko je izpostavljena sevanju. To beljakovino najdemo le pri tartigradah. Vendar Kunieda trenutno preu\u010duje, kako bi lahko isto beljakovino vnesli v \u010dloveka in za\u0161\u010ditili \u010dlove\u0161ko DNK.<\/p>\n

Skrivnost supermo\u010di tartigrad je v njihovi odpornosti na ekstremno izsu\u0161evanje. Tartigrade so sposobne pre\u017eiveti s samo 1% vode in nato ponovno za\u017eiveti, kot da se ni ni\u010d zgodilo. Kunieda navaja, da tartigrade razdelijo svojo DNK na majhne ko\u0161\u010dke in zmanj\u0161ajo svojo \u017eivljenjsko aktivnost na 0,01%. Ko se ponovno skrijejo, se DNK popravi in njihova \u017eivljenjska aktivnost se vrne na 100%.<\/p>\n
