Amazonski de\u017eevni gozd je biolo\u0161ko najbolj raznolik kraj na Zemlji. Od vseh znanih vrst na svetu jih 10% \u017eivi v amazonskem de\u017eevnem gozdu. Vendar najve\u010d vrst \u0161e ni opisanih. Zato sta kr\u010denje gozdov in gozdni po\u017eari veliko tveganje za vse \u017eivljenje na Zemlji. Sedanjo stopnjo kr\u010denja gozdov moramo ustaviti ali vsaj zmanj\u0161ati. V nasprotnem primeru bo po ocenah WWF do leta 2030 27% amazonskega bioma ostalo brez dreves.<\/p>\n

Ena od desetih znanih vrst na Zemlji<\/h2>\n

Na podlagi podatkov, ki jih \u017ee imamo, je mogo\u010de ugotoviti, kako pomemben je de\u017eevni gozd za ohranjanje \u017eivljenja na Zemlji. Vendar pa verjetno poznamo le del celotnega \u0161tevila vrst. Ve\u010dina vrst nevreten\u010darjev, kot so \u010dlenono\u017eci, nam je \u0161e vedno neznana. Vrste vreten\u010darjev je la\u017eje prepoznati in razvrstiti. Vendar pa obstajajo znanstvene \u0161tudije<\/a> ka\u017eejo, da je v de\u017eevnih gozdovih na vsako vrsto sesalcev tristo vrst \u010dlenono\u017ecev.<\/p>\n

Po podatkih WWF je amazonski de\u017eevni gozd dom ve\u010d kot tiso\u010d razli\u010dnih vrst ptic, kot so kolibriji, tukani, huzini in makaki, zato je Amazonija eno najbolj raznolikih obmo\u010dij za ptice na svetu.\u00a0Macaws<\/a>, ikona Amazonije, so zelo inteligentne in dru\u017eabne, saj \u017eivijo v jatah z 10 do 30 pticami. Zdru\u017eujejo se za vse \u017eivljenje in lahko \u017eivijo do 60 let. Nekatere vrste lahko celo posnemajo \u010dlove\u0161ki govor.<\/p>\n

Amazonija je eno zadnjih zato\u010di\u0161\u010d jaguarjev in ro\u017enatih re\u010dnih delfinov na Zemlji, v njej pa \u017eivijo lenivci, \u010drni pajkovci in druge stotine vrst sesalcev.<\/p>\n

Do danes poznamo vsaj 80.000 rastlinskih vrst v amazonskem de\u017eevnem gozdu. Po podatkih WWF ima 40.000 vrst teh rastlin klju\u010dno vlogo pri uravnavanju globalnega podnebja in vzdr\u017eevanju lokalnega vodnega cikla.<\/p>\n

Ogromno biotsko raznovrstnost lahko razumete, \u010de v amazonskem de\u017eevnem gozdu po nekaj minutah hoje posku\u0161ate najti dve drevesi iste vrste. Sprehajali se boste med zelo razli\u010dnimi vrstami. Samo zahodni del pragozda\u00a0pore\u010dje Amazonke<\/span><\/a>\u00a0ima najve\u010djo raznolikost dreves na svetu.<\/p>\n

V Amazoniji \u017eivi ve\u010d kot 350 domorodnih in etni\u010dnih skupin, katerih kultura je odvisna od narave.<\/p>\n
