To je te\u017eko vpra\u0161anje celo za fiziko. Na na\u0161em planetu in v son\u010dnem sistemu je \u0161e vedno veliko skrivnosti, ki jih je treba razvozlati. Ali veste, da je son\u010dni sistem star ve\u010d kot 4 milijarde let? Pred nami je celotno vesolje, ki ga moramo raziskati. Neznano je lahko stra\u0161ljivo, vendar je tudi dobro. Razdalje v vesolju so tako velike, da obi\u010dajni metri in kilometri ne zadostujejo. Astronomi uporabljajo veliko ve\u010dje merilo, imenovano astronomska enota. To je povpre\u010dna razdalja od Zemlje do Sonca ali pribli\u017eno 150 milijonov kilometrov. Merkur je od Sonca oddaljen le 0,39 astronomske enote, Jupiter pa kro\u017ei na razdalji 5,5 astronomske enote. Pluton pa je oddaljen 39,2 astronomske enote. Ogljikov dioksid je pomemben plin za u\u010dinek tople grede. Obi\u010dajno sonce podnevi segreva povr\u0161ino planeta, pono\u010di pa se planet ohlaja, saj spro\u0161\u010da infrarde\u010de sevanje (toploto) nazaj v vesolje. Tako se tudi mi po\u010dutimo toplogredni u\u010dinek, zaradi katerega nam je pono\u010di toplo. Bil je prvo odkrito telo Kuiperjevega pasu in je najve\u010dji znani plutoid (ali&nbsp;<i>ledena pritlikavka<\/i>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kuiperjev pas <sup>1<\/sup>  je okoli\u0161ki zvezdni disk v zunanjem Oson\u010dju, ki se razteza od Neptunove orbite.  Podoben je asteroidnemu pasu, vendar je veliko ve\u010dji.  Tako kot asteroidni pas je sestavljen predvsem iz majhnih teles ali ostankov iz \u010dasa nastanka Oson\u010dja. Medtem ko so \u0161tevilni asteroidi sestavljeni predvsem iz kamnin in kovin, je ve\u010dina teles Kuiperjevega pasu sestavljena prete\u017eno iz zamrznjenih hlapnih snovi (t. i. ledu), kot so metan, amoniak in voda. V Kuiperjevem pasu se nahajajo trije uradno priznani pritlikavi planeti: Pluton, Haumea in Makemake.
