Seu artigo de revis\u00e3o foi publicado recentemente em Trends in Neurosciences intitulado<\/span><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cell.com\/trends\/neurosciences\/fulltext\/S0166-2236(17)30069-3?rss=yes\"> Defici\u00eancia sin\u00e1ptica na doen\u00e7a de Alzheimer: Uma sinfonia desregulada.<\/a> <\/b>\u00a0Ela fez dois resumos gr\u00e1ficos de Alzheimer para ilustrar seu trabalho.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Primeiro, vamos come\u00e7ar com uma pequena introdu\u00e7\u00e3o da Stefania no campo de estudos<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A doen\u00e7a de Alzheimer (AD) \u00e9 um dist\u00farbio neurodegenerativo que causa d\u00e9ficits cognitivos e perda de mem\u00f3ria.  A doen\u00e7a de Alzheimer \u00e9 a sexta principal causa de morte nos EUA e afeta <strong>35 milh\u00f5es de pessoas<\/strong> ao redor do mundo. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As evid\u00eancias sugerem que existe um papel causal entre os d\u00e9ficits cognitivos do AD e a perda da sinapse. Al\u00e9m disso, a disfun\u00e7\u00e3o da sinapse pode estar relacionada a dois caminhos patol\u00f3gicos. Um ac\u00famulo extracelular de <strong>pept\u00eddeo beta-amil\u00f3ide<\/strong> e o ac\u00famulo intracelular de <strong>prote\u00edna tau<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Estes dois processos s\u00e3o conhecidos por desempenharem um papel importante na AD. No entanto, uma das principais quest\u00f5es fundamentais que permanece est\u00e1 relacionada \u00e0 rela\u00e7\u00e3o molecular entre beta-amil\u00f3ide e tau, e como estes dois atores interdependentemente causam defici\u00eancias na fun\u00e7\u00e3o sin\u00e1ptica na DA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assim, para analisar separadamente a prote\u00edna tau e os efeitos do pept\u00eddeo beta-amil\u00f3ide em fun\u00e7\u00e3o sin\u00e1ptica e AD, Stefania utilizou dois resumos gr\u00e1ficos que ela fez na plataforma Mind the Graph.
