Comecemos com uma pequena introdu\u00e7\u00e3o de Rafael estudando o campo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O sistema imunol\u00f3gico conta com mecanismos que distinguem o self do n\u00e3o self, sempre visando a sa\u00fade do indiv\u00edduo. A pesquisa de Rafael destaca o que acontece se este mecanismo falhar. Em particular, o papel de uma fam\u00edlia de pept\u00eddeos chamados parentes envolvidos em uma ampla gama de processos e doen\u00e7as (por exemplo, Alzheimer, c\u00e2ncer, epilepsia, etc.).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rafael utilizou os resumos gr\u00e1ficos que fez no Mind the Graph de forma a complementar e ilustrar os principais pontos de sua pesquisa. O trabalho publicado conta n\u00e3o com um, mas com quatro resumos gr\u00e1ficos!
