Os canais de not\u00edcias divulgam constantemente o que h\u00e1 de mais relevante no mundo cient\u00edfico e promovem algumas das descobertas mais relevantes para o p\u00fablico leigo.<\/p>\n<p>No entanto, n\u00e3o \u00e9 frequente ouvirmos not\u00edcias contradit\u00f3rias que coloquem em d\u00favida a veracidade da ci\u00eancia. N\u00e3o s\u00f3, algumas descobertas s\u00e3o t\u00e3o dif\u00edceis de acreditar que come\u00e7amos a associar informa\u00e7\u00f5es cient\u00edficas a boatos populares.<\/p>\n<p>Em seu programa desta semana, John Oliver apontou as conseq\u00fc\u00eancias de informa\u00e7\u00f5es cient\u00edficas falsas ou incompletas e como a m\u00eddia tem um papel importante:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Estudos cient\u00edficos: Semana passada desta noite com John Oliver (HBO)\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0Rnq1NpHdmw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>O discurso de John Oliver estava bem alinhado com o sentido geral. Hoje em dia, a maioria das pessoas se encontra em d\u00favida sobre as informa\u00e7\u00f5es em que podem acreditar e como a ci\u00eancia realmente \u00e9 digna de confian\u00e7a. Embora a cr\u00edtica fosse principalmente \u00e0 m\u00eddia e \u00e0s pessoas que alimentam o mercado de \"mexericos cient\u00edficos\", a comunica\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica \u00e9 uma quest\u00e3o real.<\/p>\n<p>Certamente a m\u00eddia pode ter um papel importante na divulga\u00e7\u00e3o de informa\u00e7\u00f5es cient\u00edficas. No entanto, eles n\u00e3o s\u00e3o os profissionais mais capazes de faz\u00ea-lo. Quem s\u00e3o os profissionais mais preparados para comunicar informa\u00e7\u00f5es cient\u00edficas? Bem, cientistas!<\/p>\n<p>O problema \u00e9 que a comunidade cient\u00edfica \u00e9 muito fechada dentro de seu pr\u00f3prio p\u00fablico - o que pode soar um pouco estranho se levarmos em conta que o principal objetivo da ci\u00eancia \u00e9 impactar positivamente a esp\u00e9cie humana. Os cientistas t\u00eam o papel mais importante na comunica\u00e7\u00e3o da informa\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica. Como as m\u00eddias sociais s\u00e3o respons\u00e1veis por uma enorme parte da troca de informa\u00e7\u00f5es, os cientistas poderiam usar estas ferramentas r\u00e1pidas e eficientes para divulgar informa\u00e7\u00f5es verdadeiras sobre o trabalho cient\u00edfico.<\/p>\n<p>Muitos cientistas j\u00e1 encontraram sua maneira de fazer isso.
