Illustraties zijn daarvoor een krachtig hulpmiddel. Als mensen zijn wij een visuele soort en beelden zijn nuttig om iets op het eerste gezicht te begrijpen, omdat een groot percentage van de menselijke hersenen zich bezighoudt met visuele verwerking.<\/p>\n<p>Als we echter denken aan communicatie in de wetenschap, hebben we het normaal gesproken over grafische samenvattingen voor papers, presentaties of sociale media. Maar de kloof is nog groter.<\/p>\n<h3>Wat als we pictogrammen gebruiken om een pati\u00ebntenbijsluiter begrijpelijker te maken?<\/h3>\n<p>Het gebruik van alleen tekst met een ingewikkelde taal kan de pati\u00ebnt in verwarring brengen en de behandeling in gevaar brengen.
