Wij stellen wetenschappers in staat om een meer visuele en bereikbare wetenschap mogelijk te maken.  In de post, zal ik presenteren\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/scientific-contributions\/2042552759_Christina_Hermanrud\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Christina Hermanrud<\/a> proefschrift voor haar doctoraal getiteld\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/openarchive.ki.se\/xmlui\/bitstream\/handle\/10616\/46207\/Thesis_Christina_Hermanrud.pdf?sequence=1&amp;isAllowed=y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Immunogeniciteit van biofarmaceutica bij chronische ontstekingsziekten<\/a>. Dr. Hermanrud is neurowetenschapper aan het Karolinska Institutet in Zweden. Haar onderzoek richt zich op chronische ontstekingsziekten zoals multiple sclerose (MS) en reumato\u00efde artritis (RA) waarbij genetische en omgevingsfactoren de pathogenese be\u00efnvloeden. Het proefschrift van Dr. Hermanrud omvat vijf studies ter evaluatie van endogene immuunprocessen die worden be\u00efnvloed<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>Multiple sclerose (MS) en reumato\u00efde artritis (RA) zijn chronische ontstekingsziekten waarbij genetische en omgevingsfactoren de pathogenese be\u00efnvloeden. MS is een ziekte van het centrale zenuwstelsel, terwijl RA vooral de gewrichten aantast. Biofarmaceutische producten zoals interferon-b\u00e8ta (IFN\u03b2) en tumornecrosefactor-alfa (TNF-\u03b1) remmers zijn veel gebruikte behandelingen om de ziekteactiviteit bij mensen met respectievelijk MS en RA te verminderen. Na verloop van tijd ontwikkelen sommige van de behandelde pati\u00ebnten echter anti-drug antilichamen (ADA) of neutraliserende ADA (NAb) die de werkzaamheid van het geneesmiddel kunnen verminderen of tenietdoen en vervolgens leiden tot verlies van klinische respons.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Zij is ook een Mind the Graph gebruiker en heeft haar illustraties gemaakt met behulp van het platform. Dat maakt ons erg trots, dus ik zal een aantal van haar creaties delen om andere wetenschappers te inspireren en te helpen hun eigen illustraties te maken.
