Precies zoals wetenschappers zouden moeten zijn. Daarom moet wetenschapscommunicatie onze kinderen bereiken. Kinderen zijn de toekomst en we willen een toekomst met spannende wetenschappelijke ontdekkingen. Dus, het was verbazingwekkend om het werk van de <a href=\"https:\/\/kids.frontiersin.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grenzen voor jonge geesten<\/a>.  Christell Van Der Vyver en Shaun Peters schreven een <a href=\"https:\/\/kids.frontiersin.org\/article\/10.3389\/frym.2017.00058#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a> over planten en klimaatverandering aan de hand van illustraties uit Mind the Graph.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">De infographics die ze hebben gemaakt zijn eenvoudig, mooi en gemakkelijk te begrijpen.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/files\/Articles\/275076\/frym-05-00058-HTML\/image_m\/figure-2.jpg\" alt=\"Figuur 2 - Interne verdediging van planten onder waterstress.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\"Heb je mensen horen spreken over opwarming van de aarde en klimaatverandering? Weet je wat deze termen betekenen? Deze termen komen erop neer dat de aarde elk jaar warmer wordt. Deze hogere temperaturen leiden tot onverwachte en ongewone weerpatronen. Een van deze extreme weerpatronen is frequente en ernstige droogte. Droogtes zijn zeer lange droge periodes zonder regen. Wat betekent ernstige droogte voor planten? Wel, planten zijn sessiel Een organisme dat zich niet kan verplaatsen en op \u00e9\u00e9n plaats blijft, zoals een plant, wat betekent dat ze op \u00e9\u00e9n plaats blijven en zich niet kunnen verplaatsen zoals wij. Ze kunnen hun wortels niet uittrekken en verhuizen naar een schaduwrijke of vochtige plek.
