Heb je ooit gehoord over de Long Now Foundation<\/a>? Nou, deze groep wetenschappers werkt eraan om diersoorten terug te brengen van uitsterven. Het gaat er niet om plezier te maken of voor God te spelen. In feite wordt rekening gehouden met criteria als ecologische functie en praktische zaken - toegang tot weefsel met DNA-monsters van goede kwaliteit bijvoorbeeld. Een nieuwe kijk op de aarde<\/h3>\n

Een onlangs gelanceerde weersatelliet van de National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) heeft ons verbazingwekkende beelden van onze planeet gestuurd. De beelden bevatten details die nog nooit eerder zijn gezien. De satelliet genaamd GOES-16 kan de toekomst zijn als het gaat om weerobservaties en weersvoorspellingen. <\/span><\/p>\n

De satelliet heeft twee kanalen voor zichtbaar licht (samengesteld tot de beelden die u in dit bericht ziet), en vier nabij-infrarood kanalen (licht dat nauwelijks zichtbaar is maar dat we soms kunnen voelen als warmte). Er zijn ook 10 andere infraroodkanalen die \"verschillen in de atmosfeer zoals wolken, waterdamp, rook, ijs en vulkanische as\" kunnen onderscheiden, aldus NOAA. - Dave Mosher, Science Alert<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
