Als het gaat om visuele informatie is er een impasse: sommige mensen hebben moeite met het interpreteren van gegevens in een meer visuele vorm, terwijl anderen denken dat het de gemakkelijkste manier is om informatie te begrijpen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Goed, misschien is het probleem hier dat het concept van visuele informatie het idee van iets ingewikkelds met zich meebrengt. Zwart-witte grafieken, tabellen en schema's die slecht zijn opgebouwd en de lezer nog meer in verwarring brengen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nou, als dit uw geval is, zal ik u iets vertellen: visuele informatie moet u helpen begrijpen, niet u in verwarring brengen. Waarschijnlijk had de auteur van dit soort visuele informatie geen idee waar hij of zij mee bezig was.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hier zijn twee kunstenaars die ons kunnen helpen om inspiratie op te doen. Beiden hebben een leuke aanpak en laten ons zien dat visuele informatie iets heel eenvoudigs kan zijn.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mona Chalabi is datajournalist en presentator. Ze is de Data Editor van The Guardian US en columnist bij New York Magazine waar ze regelmatig een adviescolumn schrijft genaamd \"Dear Mona\".
