We denken altijd aan nieuwe bevindingen en hun impact, dus is het logisch om na te denken over de komende jaren. Waar we meestal niet aan denken bij het plannen van ons academisch leven is onze nalatenschap als wetenschappers. Die nalatenschap is niet alleen ons onderzoek, maar ook de mensen die onze bevindingen zullen voortzetten en verbinden met nieuwe idee\u00ebn. Deze mensen zijn jonge wetenschappers die dorsten naar nieuwe ontdekkingen en verbindingen.<\/p>\n<p>Klinkt goed, h\u00e8? Er is echter \u00e9\u00e9n probleem met deze stroom: het lijkt erop dat potenti\u00eble jonge wetenschappers niet streven naar een leven in de academische wereld.<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/visual-information-for-science\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5826 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/i-love-science-300x120.png\" alt=\"jonge wetenschappers\" width=\"300\" height=\"120\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/i-love-science-300x120.png 300w, https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/i-love-science-1024x410.png 1024w, https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/i-love-science.png 1500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>A <a href=\"http:\/\/zh.clicrbs.com.br\/rs\/vida-e-estilo\/noticia\/2016\/06\/pesquisa-aponta-desinteresse-dos-jovens-pela-carreira-cientifica-5866044.html\">braziliaanse groep onderzoekers<\/a> heeft in een partnerschap met andere landen (Itali\u00eb en Noorwegen) de belangstelling van tieners voor het wetenschappelijke leven bestudeerd. En hun analyse ziet er niet zo goed uit.<\/p>\n<p>Uit de studie blijkt dat een wetenschappelijk leven niet in de plannen van tieners voorkomt, ook al hebben de meesten van hen belangstelling voor wetenschap. Deze gegevens zijn zeer zorgwekkend, aangezien de toekomst van de wetenschap in handen is van nieuwe jonge wetenschappers. Landen in Europa hebben dit scenario de afgelopen jaren onder ogen gezien en veranderd. De meeste tieners denken dat wetenschap saai is of begrijpen de wetenschappelijke carri\u00e8re niet. Dit is deels onze schuld. Wij, als wetenschappers, vergeten ons werk goed te communiceren en doen uiteindelijk alleen onderzoek voor onszelf.<\/p>\n<p>Scholen en wetenschapsdocenten zijn op zoek naar <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/visual-information-for-science\/\">nieuwe instrumenten om in de klas te gebruiken<\/a> dat de aandacht van de leerlingen trekt. Tieners stimuleren om experimenten uit te voeren, vragen te stellen en na te denken over de toepasbaarheid van hun bevindingen houdt hen bezig. Het resultaat is tieners die ontdekken dat wetenschap leuk kan zijn. Meer dan dat, tieners in contact brengen met het doel van wetenschap ontwikkelt hun persoonlijkheid tot een kritischer en creatiever karakter.<\/p>\n<p>De meeste tieners denken niet aan een academische loopbaan omdat ze niet weten wat wetenschap inhoudt. Het idee om wetenschapper te worden wordt beperkt tot wetenschappers in biologie, scheikunde, wiskunde of natuurkunde, zonder rekening te houden met het feit dat voor alle studierichtingen een wetenschappelijke carri\u00e8re is weggelegd.<\/p>\n<p>Over deze zaak, <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/visual-information-for-science\/\">die de impact van wetenschappelijke ontdekkingen toont<\/a> op de meest uiteenlopende gebieden kan een keerpunt zijn voor tieners die zich verbonden voelen met de wetenschap.
