Men zou dus kunnen denken dat hun intellect de oorzaak is van hun verbazingwekkende bevindingen op jonge leeftijd. Maar hoe geruststellend het ook klinkt, het is misschien niet waar.<\/p>\n<p>Eigenlijk heeft jong zijn meer te maken met goede idee\u00ebn dan met geniaal zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Jong zijn betekent meer openstaan voor nieuwe idee\u00ebn; het betekent <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/article-of-the-future\/\">om innovatief en gedurfd te zijn<\/a>. Packalen en J. Bhattacharya<\/a> een artikel gepubliceerd over het verband tussen leeftijd en innovatievermogen.<\/p>\n<p>Om gegevens te verzamelen, gebruikten de auteurs MEDLINE (de belangrijkste index van biomedisch onderzoek) en kregen toegang tot meer dan 21 miljoen publicaties sinds 1946.<\/p>\n<p>Eerst rangschikten de auteurs alle titels en samenvattingen aan de hand van de populairste concepten. Ten tweede analyseerden zij de eerdere toepassers van deze concepten.<\/p>\n<p>Op die manier kon worden nagegaan welke wetenschappers meer bereid waren nieuwe idee\u00ebn aan te nemen. En aangezien de auteurs niet in staat waren de exacte leeftijd van alle wetenschappers te meten, gebruikten zij de carri\u00e8releeftijd van de wetenschappers.<\/p>\n<p>Dit is wat ze vonden:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/article-of-the-future\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5315 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/nature-youth-ideas-chart-online.png\" alt=\"wetenschap\" width=\"630\" height=\"365\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Het onderzoek ging verder. De auteurs analyseerden ook de combinatie van eerste en laatste auteurs.<\/p>\n<p>Het resultaat geeft hoop voor oudere onderzoeken: een eerste auteur met een vroege carri\u00e8re en een laatste auteur met een middencarri\u00e8re was de meest innovatieve combinatie.
