Het infografisch noemen is ook niet veel nieuws. Dus waarom blijven we praten over infographics als het ultieme idee van het decennium?<\/p>\n<p>Simpelweg omdat het gebruik van <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/what-makes-a-good-infographic\/\">infographics werden een hulpmiddel<\/a> meer dan een gevolg.<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/what-makes-a-good-infographic\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5739 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/untitled-creation63724-2-300x120.png\" alt=\"wetenschappelijke infographic\" width=\"300\" height=\"120\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/untitled-creation63724-2-300x120.png 300w, https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/untitled-creation63724-2-1024x410.png 1024w, https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/untitled-creation63724-2.png 1500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Mensen worden zich bewust van de wetenschappelijke kracht van infografie\u00ebn om met succes informatie over te brengen. En niet zomaar mensen. Echte grote massale invloedrijke mensen.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014 postte Nature op <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.nature.com\/ofschemesandmemes\/2014\/01\/20\/the-power-of-using-infographics-to-communicate-science\">hun blog<\/a>\u00a0over wetenschapscommunicatie en hoe cool het is om een wetenschappelijke infographic te gebruiken. De manier waarop ze dat deden was simpel: laten zien dat een paar vrienden (NASA en Scientific American) wetenschappelijke infographics ook cool vinden.<\/p>\n<p>Ze begonnen de post met een Pulitzer Prize-winnaar, Gareth Cook, en zijn boek \"Best American Infographics 2013\".<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/BAInfographics.Cook_.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4974 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/BAInfographics.Cook_.jpg\" alt=\"wetenschappelijke infographic\" width=\"1139\" height=\"1500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Het boek bewijst het belang van wetenschappelijke infografie\u00ebn door te laten zien hoe omarmend ze kunnen zijn.<br \/>\nVan het in kaart brengen van oceaanruis tot de anatomie van snelheid, infographics zijn een geweldig hulpmiddel om jezelf duidelijk te maken. En als het om wetenschap gaat, past het daar natuurlijk bij.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\"Wetenschap is een gebied waar infographics bijzonder nuttig en krachtig zijn (...).Onze zoektocht om de ruimte te begrijpen is daar een goed voorbeeld van - met afstanden en krachten zo groot dat het voor de gemiddelde persoon moeilijk is om te begrijpen wat er is ontdekt. Hoe is het om op Mars te landen? Hoe alleen zijn we werkelijk in de Melkweg? Dat zijn vragen die om visuele antwoorden vragen.\"<\/em> Gareth Cook<\/p>\n<p>In Cook's boek vinden we een gids over NASA's Curiosity rover landing op Mars in augustus 2012. NASA zorgde voor geweldige illustraties en Nature voor het informatieontwerp. Visuals die ontwikkeld zijn voor een wetenschappelijk onderlegd maar niet gespecialiseerd publiek, zoals deze hierboven, kunnen helpen om wetenschappelijke bevindingen toegankelijk te maken voor een breder publiek.
