De recente belangstelling voor de overdracht van het coronavirus als gevolg van de Covid-19 pandemie motiveerde verschillende specifieke onderzoekers met een relevante vertaling naar ons dagelijks leven. De paper getiteld Aerosol and Surface Stability of SARS-Cov2 onlangs gepubliceerd in het New England Journal of Medicine. <\/a> leert ons iets heel relevants: hoe lang blijft het coronavirus Covid-19 \"in leven\" nadat het het lichaam van een besmette pati\u00ebnt heeft verlaten?<\/p>\n

Het antwoord hangt af van het soort materiaal. De onderstaande grafieken tonen de hoeveelheid virus die na verloop van tijd in de oppervlakken wordt aangetroffen. Dit wordt de virus \"titel\" genoemd en wordt gebruikt om de halfwaardetijd te berekenen, d.w.z. de amonunt tijd die het duurt voordat de virus titel tot de helft is gedaald. De snelheid van verval geeft ons een idee over hoe \"levensvatbaar\" het coronavirus Covid-19 in elk oppervlak is. Hoe minder levensvatbaar, hoe beter voor ons, niet voor hen.<\/p>\n

Volgens de gerapporteerde gegevens was het coronavirus Covid-19 stabieler op plastic en roestvrij staal dan op koper en karton, en werd levensvatbaar virus gedetecteerd tot 72 uur na het aanbrengen op deze oppervlakken.<\/p>\n

De halfwaardetijd van het levensvatbare virus is ongeveer 1 uur in aerosol of koper, 3 uur in karton en meer dan 5 uur in roestvrij staal en plastic oppervlakken.<\/p>\n

De conclusie is dat de plastic flessen in uw koelkast of het bestek de beste plaats kunnen zijn voor het virus om te blijven plakken, als iemand van uw gezin assymptomatisch besmet is en de anderen besmet zonder het te weten. Het beste advies is om voor de zekerheid deze voorwerpen niet meer met de anderen te delen.<\/p>\n

Een andere niet voor de hand liggende conclusie is dat de plastic zak in de supermarkt waarschijnlijk gevaarlijker is dan de kartonnen pizzadoos van de bezorger... gewoon een gokje, maar ik denk dat het zinvol is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In de gewone oppervlakken die gebruikt worden om artikelen te vervoeren, blijft het coronavirus Covid-19 niet levensvatbaar na 24 uur. Dus, als u terugkomt van de kruidenier, supermarkt of apotheek, kan het helpen om de zakken (of beter, de dozen) een dag onbeheerd achter te laten en later terug te komen. Dat is waarschijnlijk een stuk veiliger, en vooral nuttig, als u geen handschoenen wilt dragen en niet elk voorwerp dat u thuisbracht wilt schoonmaken.<\/p>\n

Een andere belangrijke conclusie is dat het coronavirus Covid-19 zich waarschijnlijk meer verspreidt dan eerdere virussen uit dezelfde klasse als gevolg van intrinsieke factoren van zijn aard, waaronder hoge virale ladingen in de bovenste luchtwegen en de mogelijkheid voor met SARS-CoV-2 besmette personen om het virus uit te scheiden en over te dragen terwijl zij asymptomatisch zijn.  <\/p>\n

Hoewel het coronavirus Covid-19 aan bepaalde oppervlakken blijft kleven, is het grootste gevaar dus duidelijk het directe contact met besmette mensen. Het coronavirus blijft niet lang levensvatbaar in de aerosol, maar soms is de nabijheid van iemand net genoeg. Let op de persoon die zonder masker hoest en kom niet dichterbij om te vragen of hij\/zij positief getest is. Het maakt niet uit, beter veilig zijn en sociale isolatie toepassen om de overdracht van het coronavirus te voorkomen.<\/a>. Goed?<\/p>\n
