Kort fortalt er halvparten av m\u00e5nen opplyst av solen. Siden vi ser p\u00e5 m\u00e5nen fra forskjellige vinkler, ser vi bare en del av den opplyste halvdelen av m\u00e5nen, og det er dette som for\u00e5rsaker fasene. N\u00f8yaktig det samme gjelder for Venus. S\u00e5 hvis Venus har halvm\u00e5neformede faser, betyr det at vi ser p\u00e5 \"baksiden\" av Venus. Do this again the next night and you will notice that it is in a different location (with respect to the background stars). In fact, all of the planets do this\u2014that&#8217;s how we know they aren&#8217;t stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Men hvis du f\u00f8lger med p\u00e5 Mars' bevegelse, vil du legge merke til at den beveger seg mot \u00f8st - med unntak av noen spesielle perioder. Hver natt ville den bevege seg lenger \u00f8stover. Det gir mening. Men hvordan forklarer du de gangene den beveger seg mot vest? Det er jo helt spr\u00f8tt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se p\u00e5 denne modellen av Mars og jorden i bane rundt solen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/trinket.io\/embed\/glowscript\/ad2210862b?start=result\" width=\"500\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>\n\n\n\n<p>I denne modellen g\u00e5r b\u00e5de jorden og Mars i bane rundt en sol - v\u00e6r oppmerksom p\u00e5 at denne modellen ikke er skalert. Dette betyr at vinkelhastigheten for planetene avtar med baneavstanden. Jorden g\u00e5r i bane \"raskere\" enn Mars. Det er i dette omr\u00e5det der jorda g\u00e5r forbi Mars at vi f\u00e5r retrograd bevegelse. Ved \u00e5 bruke en heliosentrisk modell f\u00e5r man en enkel forklaring p\u00e5 Mars' retrograde bevegelse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Disse eksperimentene viser hvordan jorden kretser rundt solen i en kuleform.
