People with schizophrenia may seem like they have lost touch with reality. To understand the schizophrenia development, we need to talk about synaptic pruning. According an article from Nature neuroscience <sup>1<\/sup>, &#8220;<em>synaptisk beskj\u00e6ring er prosessen med eliminering av synapser som skjer fra tidlig barndom til tidlig voksen alder.\"<\/em>&nbsp;Etter hvert som hjernen utvikler seg, former p\u00e5virkninger fra omgivelsene de nevrale kretsene. Denne prosessen eliminerer overfl\u00f8dige synapser som ble dannet under den tidlige utviklingen, og styrker de gjenv\u00e6rende synapsene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If\u00f8lge \"synaptisk beskj\u00e6ring\"-hypotesen er overdreven eller forstyrret synaptisk beskj\u00e6ring forbundet med schizofreni.
