World AIDS Day, occurs\u00a0every year on 1\u00a0December\u00a0 since 1988. It is an international day to raising awareness of the AIDS caused by HIV infection and to remember those who have died of the disease. World AIDS Day is one of the eight official global public health campaigns marked by the World Health Organization (WHO).<\/p>\n

It is important to teach people about sexual education and the difference between HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) and AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome).\u00a0 HIV is a retrovirus that causes AIDS. HIV attacks the immune system.<\/p>\n

Hvordan hiv virker<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Hiv angriper immunsystemet gjennom spesielle typer hvite blodlegemer, s\u00e5kalte CD4-celler. CD4-cellene spiller en viktig rolle i styringen og kontrollen av hele immunforsvarets funksjoner. N\u00e5r hiv f\u00f8rst er inne i immunsystemet, formerer det seg inne i CD4-cellene. Hiv setter dem ut av spill og dreper dem i l\u00f8pet av infeksjonen, og forstyrrer dermed deres normale funksjon.<\/p>\n
