Empower scientists to enable a more more visual and reachable science.\u00a0 In the post, I will\u00a0present\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/scientific-contributions\/2042552759_Christina_Hermanrud\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Christina Hermanrud<\/a> forskningsavhandling for sin doktorgrad med tittelen\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/openarchive.ki.se\/xmlui\/bitstream\/handle\/10616\/46207\/Thesis_Christina_Hermanrud.pdf?sequence=1&amp;isAllowed=y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Immunogenisitet av biofarmaka ved kroniske inflammatoriske sykdommer<\/a>. Dr. Hermanrud er hjerneforsker fra Karolinska Institutet i Sverige. Hennes forskning fokuserer p\u00e5 kroniske inflammatoriske sykdommer som multippel sklerose (MS) og revmatoid artritt (RA), der genetiske og milj\u00f8messige faktorer p\u00e5virker patogenesen. Dr. Hermanruds avhandling omfatter fem studier for \u00e5 evaluere endogene immunprosesser som p\u00e5virkes av<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>Multippel sklerose (MS) og revmatoid artritt (RA) er kroniske inflammatoriske sykdommer der b\u00e5de genetiske og milj\u00f8messige faktorer p\u00e5virker patogenesen. MS er en sykdom i sentralnervesystemet, mens RA f\u00f8rst og fremst rammer leddene. Biofarmas\u00f8ytiske legemidler som interferon beta (IFN\u03b2) og tumornekrosefaktor-alfa (TNF-\u03b1)-hemmere er mye brukt for \u00e5 redusere sykdomsaktiviteten hos personer med henholdsvis MS og RA. Over tid utvikler imidlertid noen av de behandlede pasientene anti-medikamentelle antistoffer (ADA) eller n\u00f8ytraliserende ADA (NAb) som kan redusere eller oppheve den medikamentelle effekten og dermed f\u00f8re til tap av klinisk respons.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She is also a Mind the Graph user and created her illustrations using the platform. That makes us very proud, so I will share some of her creations to inspire and help other scientists to create their own illustrations.
