Hvis du jobber i akademia, har du sikkert allerede h\u00f8rt folk snakke om publiseringsm\u00e5l. <\/span><\/p>\n

Vitenskapens verden kan v\u00e6re ganske merkelig. Som oftest snakker vi om vitenskap som en edel livsstil der vi s\u00f8ker kunnskap. Vi \u00f8nsker \u00e5 forst\u00e5 hvorfor ting er som de er og rett og slett bidra til en bedre verden. Ikke sant? Ja, det stemmer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hvis dette er v\u00e5rt form\u00e5l som forskere, hvorfor handler vi da annerledes? Og med \"annerledes\" mener jeg det stikk motsatte.<\/span><\/p>\n

We hear quite often about publishing goals. If you are a student, maybe you don\u2019t feel quite the pressure of publishing many papers in one year. However, if you are an advisor or a researcher responsible for a laboratory, things are a bit different.<\/span><\/p>\n

Scientists have the need to achieve publishing goals in order to show productivity, maintain fundings, show they are doing a good job, etc. However, all these science information really go somewhere? It doesn\u2019t seem like it.<\/span><\/p>\n

De fleste artikler som publiseres, blir faktisk aldri lest av mer enn ti personer - medregnet forfatterne, revisorer og, la oss v\u00e6re litt optimistiske, venner og familie.<\/span><\/p>\n

So why do we keep a goal that makes no sense at all? Shouldn\u2019t our goal should be impacting the society with our findings? Or contributing for science communication?<\/span><\/p>\n

En ny rolle kan v\u00e6re p\u00e5 vei inn i akademia: oversetteren. En person som kan gj\u00f8re all vitenskapelig informasjon tilgjengelig og lettfattelig for samfunnet. Kan du forestille deg hvilke rutiner denne nye yrkesut\u00f8veren vil ha?<\/span><\/p>\n

Et annet alternativ er at forskere begynner \u00e5 tenke p\u00e5 hvordan de kan gj\u00f8re forskningen sin mer tilgjengelig for lekfolk eller folk utenfor fagfeltet.<\/span><\/p>\n
