Denne lille lobopodien er omtrent 500 millioner \u00e5r gammel og ser ut som en orm - bortsett fra de 20 til 30 beina. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bortsett fra antall ben, er denne lille skapningen kalt <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ovatiovermis cribratus<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> har noen andre interessante egenskaper. De levde dypt nede i havet i kambriumtiden, og i l\u00f8pet av <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ovatiovermis cribratus <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">used to anchored itself to the bottom of the ocean and used its legs to filter the water. This feeding behaviour reminds a little dance, as you can see in this amazing 3D video:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"500 millioner \u00e5r gammel lobopodian\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/emUXb8lejNo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Forskere pr\u00f8ver \u00e5 bygge leddyrenes evolusjonstre basert p\u00e5 disse nye funnene. Det er imidlertid to hovedproblemer som fortsatt holder dem tilbake:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lobopodians are extinct. That means we can\u2019t obtain molecular data to build their family tree in the same way we do with living species. The way around it is to look for fossils and anatomical information that could help build an evolutionary scenario.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selv om det er funnet andre lobopodiske fossiler, viser de stor diversitet og ulikhet seg imellom.
