Most diseases have no extreme impact in our health and our bodies are able to fight by themselves. Even though pathogens evolve to a more resistent form, humans have found a way to improve medicine and save many lives. However, some of the current diseases still frighten us. Despite medical techniques improvements, the cure for many diseases remains a mystery. This is the case of HIV.<\/p>\n<p>Forskere fra hele verden har fors\u00f8kt \u00e5 avkode HIV-viruset for \u00e5 forst\u00e5 hvordan vi kan bekjempe det. As their research unfolds, curious things about the HIV virus have been discovered.<\/p>\n<p>Etter \u00e5 ha samlet inn pr\u00f8ver fra 800 personer som var smittet av HIV-virus i Afrika, konstruerte Faria virusets slektstre. Historien forteller oss at denne lovende byen endret seg med jernbaneutbygging og sexarbeidere - to former for transport som hiv-viruset fant for \u00e5 spre seg.<\/p>\n<p>Originally, two types of the HIV virus exists: HIV-1 group M and HIV-1 group O. The HIV-1 group M was the one spread from Kinshasa to the world. The HIV-1 group O, on the other hand, was originated nearby but never spread, remaining in West Africa till the present day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mindthegraph.com\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5937 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/output_vx7nah.gif\" alt=\"HIV-virus\" width=\"945\" height=\"708\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Faria mener at utviklingen av begge gruppene kan hjelpe oss med \u00e5 forst\u00e5 hvordan sykdommen utvikler seg. Han er opptatt av forskjellene mellom gruppene og hvordan de kan avgj\u00f8re virusets videre utvikling.<\/p>\n<p>Oppdagelsen av HIVs fortid kan v\u00e6re svaret p\u00e5 hvordan vi kan endre virusets fremtid.
