Har du noen gang pr\u00f8vd \u00e5 forklare folk flest hva du jobber med? Hvor lett var det? Ikke s\u00e5 lett, hva? Vi vet hvordan du har det.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avhengig av hum\u00f8ret ditt og hvem som sp\u00f8r, tar du deg tid til \u00e5 forklare alt du gj\u00f8r. Resultatet er \u00e9n av to ting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A) Det h\u00f8res ut som om du snakker et annet og kjedelig vitenskapelig spr\u00e5k.<br>\nB) Du h\u00f8res ut som en spr\u00f8 vitenskapsmann som gj\u00f8r rare eksperimenter akkurat som p\u00e5 film<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hvorfor skjer det? Hvorfor kjenner ikke folk til den vitenskapelige hverdagen? Hvorfor synes de at den enten er kjedelig eller gal?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Science communication is one of the many things we haven&#8217;t figured out yet and it has consequences. People usually move away from what they don&#8217;t understand. And let&#8217;s face it, even scientists have trouble understanding something out of their own research field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But why do we have to worry about it?Science is supposed to generate an impact; to change a way of thinking; to improve something. If you can&#8217;t reach enough people and make a difference with your work, what is the point of doing it in the first place?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hvis folk ikke f\u00f8ler at de kan v\u00e6re en del av vitenskapen, er det kanskje vitenskapsformidling som er problemet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Forfatteren av <a href=\"http:\/\/phdcomics.com\/comics.php\">PhD-tegneserier<\/a>Jorge Cham, deler v\u00e5rt synspunkt.
