Tes PCR digunakan untuk mendeteksi keberadaan (atau tidak) virus dalam tubuh seseorang.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tes RT-PCR bukan satu-satunya tes yang dapat mendeteksi virus, tetapi dibandingkan dengan metode lainnya, tes ini adalah yang paling akurat dan dapat diandalkan. Melalui beberapa siklus suhu, materi genetik virus akan meningkat. Masing-masing memiliki fase kerja dan fungsi. Pada gambar di atas, fase kuning pada siklus adalah saat RT bekerja, dan fase merah adalah saat DNA-polimerase melakukan tugasnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enzim pertama membuat untai DNA komplementer dari virus RNA, yang memungkinkan enzim kedua melakukan pekerjaan copy-paste dari untai DNA yang baru saja dibuat, sehingga meningkatkan jumlah materi genetik yang ada. Fungsi primer adalah untuk menunjukkan lokasi di mana enzim harus mulai memperpanjang untaian, tanpa itu proses salin-tempel DNA-polimerase tidak akan dimulai.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Primer dapat dipilih dengan bentuk acak atau bentuk tertentu.
