L'un des atouts les plus pr\u00e9cieux du Br\u00e9sil est sa couverture dense de for\u00eats tropicales. Bien s\u00fbr, la for\u00eat amazonienne est la plus importante d'entre elles. Cette for\u00eat couvre une vaste partie du pays. En outre, la for\u00eat amazonienne offre un habitat id\u00e9al \u00e0 environ un tiers de toutes les esp\u00e8ces animales du monde. \u00c0 ce jour, on a identifi\u00e9 environ 56 000 esp\u00e8ces de plantes (d\u00e9crites), 1 700 esp\u00e8ces d'oiseaux, 695 esp\u00e8ces d'amphibiens, 578 esp\u00e8ces de mammif\u00e8res et 651 esp\u00e8ces de reptiles.<\/p>\n

Les for\u00eats tropicales couvrent pr\u00e8s de 60% de la superficie totale du Br\u00e9sil, soit 477 698 000 hectares. Cela \u00e9quivaut \u00e0 1 844 394 miles carr\u00e9s ou un peu moins de 3 millions de kilom\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s. Cela signifie que le Br\u00e9sil abrite un tiers des for\u00eats tropicales du monde, ce qui en fait l'une des terres les plus fascinantes et les plus belles de la plan\u00e8te. Les for\u00eats tropicales denses du Br\u00e9sil absorbent une quantit\u00e9 \u00e9norme de dioxyde de carbone et rejettent de l'oxyg\u00e8ne en retour.
