Son article de synth\u00e8se a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9cemment publi\u00e9 dans Trends in Neurosciences sous le titre de<\/span><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cell.com\/trends\/neurosciences\/fulltext\/S0166-2236(17)30069-3?rss=yes\"> Alt\u00e9ration synaptique dans la maladie d'Alzheimer : Une symphonie d\u00e9r\u00e9gl\u00e9e.<\/a> <\/b>\u00a0Elle a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 deux abstractions graphiques sur la maladie d'Alzheimer pour illustrer son travail.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Tout d'abord, commen\u00e7ons par une petite pr\u00e9sentation du champ d'\u00e9tude de Stefania<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La maladie d'Alzheimer (MA) est une maladie neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rative qui entra\u00eene des d\u00e9ficits cognitifs et des pertes de m\u00e9moire.  La MA est la sixi\u00e8me cause de d\u00e9c\u00e8s aux \u00c9tats-Unis et touche <strong>35 millions de personnes<\/strong> dans le monde entier. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Des preuves sugg\u00e8rent qu'il existe un r\u00f4le causal entre les d\u00e9ficits cognitifs de la MA et la perte de synapses. En outre, le dysfonctionnement des synapses peut \u00eatre li\u00e9 \u00e0 deux voies pathologiques. Une accumulation extracellulaire de <strong>peptide b\u00eata-amylo\u00efde<\/strong> et l'accumulation intracellulaire de <strong>prot\u00e9ine tau<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On sait que ces deux processus jouent un r\u00f4le important dans la MA. Cependant, l'une des principales questions fondamentales qui demeure est li\u00e9e \u00e0 la relation mol\u00e9culaire entre la b\u00eata-amylo\u00efde et la prot\u00e9ine tau, et \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re dont ces deux acteurs provoquent de mani\u00e8re interd\u00e9pendante des alt\u00e9rations de la fonction synaptique dans la MA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ainsi, pour analyser s\u00e9par\u00e9ment les effets de la prot\u00e9ine tau et du peptide b\u00eata-amylo\u00efde sur la fonction synaptique et la maladie d'Alzheimer, Stefania a utilis\u00e9 deux r\u00e9sum\u00e9s graphiques qu'elle a r\u00e9alis\u00e9s sur la plate-forme Mind the Graph.
