Combien d'entre elles recherchent des nouvelles ou des tendances autres que celles que les m\u00e9dias diffusent habituellement ? En tant que chercheur dans le domaine des sciences de la vie, j'\u00e9tais toujours int\u00e9ress\u00e9 par les nouvelles d\u00e9couvertes, alors que la plupart des gens autour de moi ne s'y int\u00e9ressaient pas du tout.<\/p>\n<p>Au cours de ma vie universitaire, je me suis rapproch\u00e9 de personnes qui avaient les m\u00eames int\u00e9r\u00eats que moi et j'ai eu l'impression d'avoir trouv\u00e9 mes semblables. Le seul probl\u00e8me \u00e9tait que le foss\u00e9 entre moi et les personnes qui n'\u00e9taient pas concern\u00e9es par mon domaine d'\u00e9tude, les sciences de la vie, se creusait.<\/p>\n<p>Cette distance entre les mondes scientifique et non scientifique me d\u00e9rangeait beaucoup. J'en suis arriv\u00e9 \u00e0 un point o\u00f9 j'ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 inventer des analogies amusantes sur mes recherches pour tenter d'en rapprocher les profanes. Avec cette strat\u00e9gie, je ne voulais pas diminuer l'importance de mes recherches. Au contraire, c'\u00e9tait une fa\u00e7on simple et amusante d'expliquer des choses compliqu\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/giphy-8.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5974 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/giphy-8.gif\" alt=\"sciences de la vie\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>En tant que biologiste, j'ai \u00e9tudi\u00e9 le comportement agonistique chez les crustac\u00e9s pendant la majeure partie de ma vie universitaire. Comme le terme \"comportement agonistique\" n'est pas tr\u00e8s populaire, j'ai imagin\u00e9 une m\u00e9taphore. J'avais l'habitude de dire :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>- Avez-vous d\u00e9j\u00e0 entendu parler des combats de coqs ? Eh bien, c'est exactement ce que je fais. Sauf que j'utilise des homards. Et c'est l\u00e9gal.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Cela a fonctionn\u00e9. D\u00e8s que j'ai essay\u00e9 de parler un langage \"non scientifique\", les gens autour de moi ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 s'int\u00e9resser et \u00e0 poser plus de questions sur ce que je recherchais. Avec le temps, parler de science est devenu un sujet amusant au lieu de l'explication ennuyeuse et compliqu\u00e9e \u00e0 laquelle tout le monde \u00e9tait habitu\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00eame si j'aimerais avoir le m\u00e9rite de reconqu\u00e9rir l'int\u00e9r\u00eat de nombreuses personnes, l'id\u00e9e de transformer la science en quelque chose de plus doux ne m'est pas venue. De nombreux canaux de communication utilisent l'amusement afin d'approcher les gens des d\u00e9couvertes scientifiques. Il ne s'agit pas seulement d'une strat\u00e9gie adopt\u00e9e par les scientifiques, mais aussi de l'identit\u00e9 de nombreux blogs et sites web scientifiques.<\/p>\n<p>Wired en est un bon exemple. Sur Wired, vous pouvez vous tenir au courant de l'actualit\u00e9 la plus vari\u00e9e, y compris dans le domaine des sciences de la vie. Non seulement Wired, mais aussi <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/art-of-communication\/\">de nombreuses autres cha\u00eenes utilisent cette<\/a> de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 approcher le public et \u00e0 transformer un contenu complexe en quelque chose de simple.<\/p>\n<p>Nous ne sommes pas oblig\u00e9s de penser \u00e0 des histoires scientifiques amusantes lorsque nous r\u00e9digeons un article. Cependant, la fa\u00e7on dont<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/art-of-communication\/\"> nous communiquons<\/a> lors des pr\u00e9sentations et partager nos principales conclusions peut \u00eatre un peu plus amusant.
