As-tu d\u00e9j\u00e0 essay\u00e9 d'expliquer au grand public ce que tu fais dans la vie ? Est-ce que c'\u00e9tait facile ? Pas vraiment, hein ? Nous savons ce que vous ressentez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon votre humeur et la personne qui vous pose la question, vous prenez le temps d'expliquer r\u00e9ellement tout ce que vous faites. Le r\u00e9sultat est l'une des deux choses suivantes :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A) On dirait que vous parlez un langage scientifique diff\u00e9rent et ennuyeux.<br>\nB) Vous avez l'air d'un scientifique fou qui fait des exp\u00e9riences bizarres comme dans les films.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pourquoi cela se produit-il ? Pourquoi les gens ne connaissent-ils pas la vie scientifique quotidienne ? Pourquoi pensent-ils que c'est soit ennuyeux, soit fou ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La communication scientifique est l'une des nombreuses choses que nous n'avons pas encore comprises et cela a des cons\u00e9quences. Les gens s'\u00e9loignent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement de ce qu'ils ne comprennent pas. Et avouons-le, m\u00eame les scientifiques ont du mal \u00e0 comprendre quelque chose en dehors de leur propre domaine de recherche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais pourquoi devons-nous nous en pr\u00e9occuper ? La science est cens\u00e9e avoir un impact, changer une fa\u00e7on de penser, am\u00e9liorer quelque chose. Si vous ne pouvez pas atteindre suffisamment de personnes et faire la diff\u00e9rence avec votre travail, quel est l'int\u00e9r\u00eat de le faire en premier lieu ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si les gens n'ont pas l'impression de pouvoir participer \u00e0 la science, la communication scientifique est peut-\u00eatre la solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L'auteur de <a href=\"http:\/\/phdcomics.com\/comics.php\">PhD Comics<\/a>Jorge Cham, partage notre point de vue.
