C'est tr\u00e8s courant chez de nombreuses esp\u00e8ces, des mouches aux mammif\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La sieste est \u00e9galement associ\u00e9e \u00e0 une am\u00e9lioration de la vigilance, ce qui est essentiel pour les personnes qui travaillent tard le soir ou celles qui manquent habituellement de sommeil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">On dit aussi qu'il est b\u00e9n\u00e9fique pour l'am\u00e9lioration des performances, de la m\u00e9moire et qu'il soulage le stress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Mais au-del\u00e0 de ces avantages, les cons\u00e9quences \u00e0 long terme de la sieste pourraient \u00eatre chroniques pour le bien-\u00eatre de l'individu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bien qu'il s'agisse d'un sujet controvers\u00e9, la raison peut \u00eatre due \u00e0 de multiples facteurs associ\u00e9s aux siestes, comme un cycle de sommeil inad\u00e9quat, une mauvaise alimentation ou une mauvaise sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>La sieste pendant la journ\u00e9e est-elle votre heure de gloire ? Des chercheurs affirment le contraire.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un groupe de chercheurs a analys\u00e9 les effets de la sieste \u00e0 travers les variations g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leur \u00e9tude consistait \u00e0 comprendre la variation g\u00e9n\u00e9tique de diff\u00e9rents individus \u00e0 travers leur pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour la dur\u00e9e et les pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences de la sieste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 l'heure actuelle, l'\u00e9tude d'association pang\u00e9nomique a permis de d\u00e9couvrir environ sept loci g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques qui correspondent au temps de sieste pendant la journ\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les chercheurs ont utilis\u00e9 les participants de la Biobanque britannique d'ascendance europ\u00e9enne (n=452 633), dont environ 38,2% ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 faire parfois des siestes et 5,3% ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 faire toujours des siestes pendant la journ\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces personnes qui faisaient la sieste \u00e9taient presque toujours des hommes \u00e2g\u00e9s, ayant un IMC ou un indice de masse corporelle \u00e9lev\u00e9, ayant re\u00e7u un diagnostic de troubles du sommeil, fumeurs ou retrait\u00e9s. Ils ont men\u00e9 une \u00e9tude d'association pang\u00e9nomique (GWAS) avec des variantes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques attribu\u00e9es de haute qualit\u00e9 couvrant environ quatre lakh participants. Pour ce faire, ils ont modifi\u00e9 les diff\u00e9rents facteurs trouv\u00e9s pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ils ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 identifier 123 loci g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques avec une h\u00e9ritabilit\u00e9 bas\u00e9e sur le polymorphisme d'un seul nucl\u00e9otide d'environ 11,9%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ils ont r\u00e9duit leur GWAS aux individus ayant un IMC plus \u00e9lev\u00e9.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 constat\u00e9 que sur 123 loci, 110 \u00e9taient retenus dans la signification \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle du g\u00e9nome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Ils ont \u00e9galement analys\u00e9 la diff\u00e9rence des habitudes de sieste entre les diff\u00e9rents sexes en association avec le chromosome X.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En outre, ils ont \u00e9galement conclu sur les g\u00e8nes qui \u00e9taient responsables de la voie de l'hypersomnolence de l'ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 : <em>PNOC (Pr\u00e9pronociceptine), <\/em>et <em>PATJ (composant de polarit\u00e9 de la cellule de la mie).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De plus, l'expression du g\u00e8ne FADS1 (Fatty Acid Desaturase) qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 colonis\u00e9, met en avant l'effet pl\u00e9iotropique du m\u00e9tabolisme lipidique sur le rythme du sommeil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les autres corr\u00e9lations per\u00e7ues en relation avec la g\u00e9n\u00e9tique \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle du g\u00e9nome ainsi qu'avec les traits tels que l'indice glyc\u00e9mique, anthropom\u00e9trique, ainsi que cardiom\u00e9tabolique, dont de nombreuses corr\u00e9lations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9duites suite \u00e0 la prise en compte de l'IMC.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qui plus est, le score analys\u00e9 par l'association \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle du ph\u00e9nome utilisant le g\u00e9nome polyg\u00e9nique de la sieste diurne a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la corr\u00e9lation des maladies li\u00e9es \u00e0 l'ob\u00e9sit\u00e9, \u00e0 l'hypertension et, surtout, \u00e0 certaines maladies cardiom\u00e9taboliques.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En conclusion, leurs conclusions nous ouvrent les yeux. Parfois, ce sont de telles habitudes qui entra\u00eenent plusieurs complications ind\u00e9sirables dans notre corps.
