Tutkijoina tunnemme tuskan siit\u00e4, ett\u00e4 olemme halukkaita lukemaan artikkelin, mutta emme saa sit\u00e4 vapaasti k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n. Vaikka monet yliopistot tarjoavat avoimia alustoja, tieteellisen tiedon piraattimarkkinat ovat edelleen olemassa.<\/p>\n<p>Tieteellisten julkaisujen ostaminen ei ehk\u00e4 kuulosta niin oudolta, kun otetaan huomioon, ett\u00e4 kyseess\u00e4 on ty\u00f6. Se on lopputuote, jonka tutkijaryhm\u00e4 on kehitt\u00e4nyt vuosien opiskelun aikana. Itse asiassa jotkut maat eiv\u00e4t ole vastustaneet avoimen julkaisemisen ajatusta, vaan kokonaiset maanosat, kuten Eurooppa, eiv\u00e4t ole liittyneet t\u00e4h\u00e4n logiikkaan t\u00e4h\u00e4n p\u00e4iv\u00e4\u00e4n asti.<br \/>\nToukokuun 27. p\u00e4iv\u00e4n\u00e4 vuoden 2016 EU-puheenjohtajavaltio Alankomaat teki 27. toukokuuta <a href=\"http:\/\/english.eu2016.nl\/documents\/press-releases\/2016\/05\/27\/all-european-scientific-articles-to-be-freely-accessible-by-2020\">ilmoitus Euroopasta<\/a> muuttaa mielipidett\u00e4\u00e4n avoimesta saatavuudesta:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"Kaikkien eurooppalaisten tieteellisten artikkelien on oltava vapaasti saatavilla vuodesta 2020 alkaen.
