Premio Nobel de Fisiolog\u00eda\/Medicina<\/strong><\/h2>\n

El Premio Nobel de Fisiolog\u00eda o Medicina 2018 ha sido concedido conjuntamente a James P. Allison y Tasuku Honjo \"por su descubrimiento de la terapia del c\u00e1ncer mediante la inhibici\u00f3n de la regulaci\u00f3n inmunol\u00f3gica negativa.\"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Allison estudi\u00f3 una prote\u00edna que funciona como freno del sistema inmunitario. Se dio cuenta del potencial de liberar el freno y, por tanto, de liberar nuestras c\u00e9lulas inmunitarias para que ataquen los tumores. A continuaci\u00f3n, desarroll\u00f3 este concepto en un enfoque totalmente nuevo para tratar a los pacientes.<\/p>\n

Paralelamente, Tasuku Honjo descubri\u00f3 una prote\u00edna en las c\u00e9lulas inmunitarias y revel\u00f3 que tambi\u00e9n funciona como freno, pero con un mecanismo de acci\u00f3n diferente.<\/p>\n

Smith y Sir Gregory P. Winter \"por la visualizaci\u00f3n de fagos de p\u00e9ptidos y anticuerpos.\"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
