Puede parecer una pregunta trivial. Con esto en mente, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencemag.org\/careers\/2016\/03\/how-seriously-read-scientific-paper\">La revista Science hizo una peque\u00f1a investigaci\u00f3n<\/a> y pregunt\u00f3 a los cient\u00edficos que viven diferentes momentos de su vida acad\u00e9mica c\u00f3mo leen los art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos.<\/p>\n<p>Entre las respuestas, llama la atenci\u00f3n algo curioso:<\/p>\n<p>\"(...) Empiezo por leer el resumen. Luego, hojeo la introducci\u00f3n y recorro el art\u00edculo para <strong>mira las cifras<\/strong> (...)\" Jesse Shanahan, candidato al m\u00e1ster en astronom\u00eda de la Universidad Wesleyan de Middletown, Connecticut<\/p>\n<p>\"(...) Tambi\u00e9n siempre <strong>mirar las parcelas\/figuras<\/strong>(...) Cecilia Tubiana, cient\u00edfica del Instituto Max Planck para la Investigaci\u00f3n del Sistema Solar en G\u00f6ttingen, Alemania<\/p>\n<p>\"(...) Creo que <strong>las cifras son la parte m\u00e1s importante<\/strong> del art\u00edculo, porque el resumen y el cuerpo del art\u00edculo pueden ser manipulados y moldeados para contar una historia convincente (...) A menudo encuentro que el <strong>Las cifras complementarias ofrecen en realidad los resultados m\u00e1s curiosos e interesantes<\/strong> (...)\" Gary McDowell, becario postdoctoral en biolog\u00eda del desarrollo en la Universidad Tufts de Medford (Massachusetts) y profesor visitante en el Boston College<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/good-infographic\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6401 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/phd050113s.gif\" alt=\"C\u00f3mo se leen los art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos\" width=\"600\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A pesar de las elecciones personales de cada cient\u00edfico al leer un art\u00edculo cient\u00edfico, parece que las figuras, los gr\u00e1ficos o los diagramas son importantes.<\/p>\n<p>Podemos entender el motivo: la informaci\u00f3n visual es m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil y r\u00e1pida de asimilar.<\/p>\n<p>Ahora t\u00f3mese un minuto para pensar cu\u00e1nto tiempo y energ\u00eda invierte en esta secci\u00f3n de su trabajo. La mayor\u00eda de los cient\u00edficos no tienen la capacidad de construir una infograf\u00eda incre\u00edble.
