Como investigadores, sentimos el dolor de querer leer un art\u00edculo y no tener acceso libre a \u00e9l. Aunque muchas universidades ofrecen plataformas abiertas, sigue existiendo un mercado pirata de informaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica.<\/p>\n<p>Comprar art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos puede no sonar tan extra\u00f1o si tenemos en cuenta que se trata de un trabajo. Es un producto final desarrollado por un grupo de investigadores durante a\u00f1os de estudio. Sin embargo, la idea de cobrar por la informaci\u00f3n contradice el prop\u00f3sito de hacer y comunicar la ciencia.<\/p>\n<p>Por esta raz\u00f3n, muchos pa\u00edses han cambiado su pol\u00edtica en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os y se han adaptado al proceso de acceso abierto. El caso es que todav\u00eda hay muchas plataformas cient\u00edficas influyentes que no est\u00e1n de acuerdo en unirse a un formato m\u00e1s libre. En realidad, no s\u00f3lo algunos pa\u00edses estaban en contra de la idea del acceso abierto, sino que continentes enteros como Europa no se sumaron a esta l\u00f3gica hasta el d\u00eda de hoy.<br \/>\nEl 27 de mayo, la Presidencia neerlandesa de la UE de 2016 hizo un <a href=\"http:\/\/english.eu2016.nl\/documents\/press-releases\/2016\/05\/27\/all-european-scientific-articles-to-be-freely-accessible-by-2020\">anuncio sobre Europa<\/a> cambiar su opini\u00f3n sobre el acceso abierto:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"Todos los art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos de Europa deben ser de libre acceso a partir de 2020. Los Estados miembros de la UE quieren lograr una reutilizaci\u00f3n \u00f3ptima de los datos de investigaci\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n estudiando un visado europeo para los fundadores de empresas extranjeras. Y, seg\u00fan el nuevo Principio de Innovaci\u00f3n, la nueva legislaci\u00f3n europea debe tener en cuenta su impacto en la innovaci\u00f3n. Por un lado, es sorprendente ver que los pa\u00edses tradicionales avanzan en la comunicaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica. Sin embargo, hay una cr\u00edtica importante hacia la proporci\u00f3n de este anuncio. El argumento es que otros pa\u00edses han cambiado el acceso a la informaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica en el pasado y Europa s\u00f3lo est\u00e1 haciendo lo que deber\u00eda haber hecho hace a\u00f1os. No es gran cosa.<\/p>\n<p>Independientemente del conflicto de los egos, es emocionante ver c\u00f3mo progresa la comunicaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica. El <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindthegraph.com\/preprints\/\">formato de acceso abierto<\/a> ayuda a los investigadores a colaborar e intercambiar datos.
